CUMBERLAND, WI – The Cumberland Healthcare Extended Care Unit has partnered with Care and Rehab, Inc. Care and Rehab, Inc. will take over the operations of the Extended Care Unit beginning on January 1, 2017. As part of this transaction, Cumberland Healthcare added a new wing onto the existing nursing home. The employees of the nursing home and dietary departments will be part of this transition. In celebration, the public is invited to an open house on Monday, December 12, 2016, from 5:15 PM to 6:30 PM to view the new addition. The evening will include a short presentation, ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of the new area and light refreshments.

The addition consists of 16 private rooms, a large dining area, family rooms and a rehabilitation services treatment space. In an effort to keep services local, Cumberland Healthcare used many local contractors on the project.
