Who are the Cumberland Memorial Hospital and Extended Care Volunteer Partners?
Enhancing the quality of life for patients and residents at the Hospital and Extended Care Unit through education and charitable activities is the mission of the Cumberland Memorial Hospital-Extended Care Unit, Inc. Volunteer Partners organization.
Men and women are encouraged to become a part of the Volunteer Partners through membership and participation in these activities.

Fundraisers
Meal-With-A-Peel: This fundraiser is held in the spring each year. Proceeds are used for various projects at the Hospital and ECU. Is is a baked potato dinner over the lunch-hour with all of the trimmings.
Style Show and Salad Luncheon: The Style Show and Salad Luncheon is held in June of each year. The latest fashions are provided by Mainstream Boutique and Peter & Annie's World Market, both located in downtown Cumberland. Members of the Volunteer Partners model the clothing while the attendees enjoy a delicious salad luncheon provided by the members of the organization. The fundraiser is held at Augustana Lutheran Church in Cumberland. The proceeds from the event fund various healthcare equipment needs.
Pie-less Pie & Ice Cream Social: This fundraiser is held in early August. Members are asked to donate funds based on the cost of making and baking pies. Proceeds from this event go to fund healthcare related scholarships.
Love Light Tree: This fundraiser is held each Holiday Season. The proceeds go towards various projects at the Hospital and Extended Care Unit.
Meetings
General meetings are held quarterly for entire membership and are open to the public. A health-related program is part of each meeting. Meetings are held the fourth Monday of the months of January, April, July and October. The July meeting is the annual membership drive meeting and is held as a potluck in the Cumberland Memorial Hospital-Extended Care Unit, Inc.'s Courtyard.
