We are currently searching for the right applicant to join our team as our Inpatient Nursing Manager. This is a full-time 1.0 FTE position, working mainly M-F Days with a 1 in 6 weekend rotation. The selected applicant would be a member of the Cumberland Healthcare Leadership Team and would have the opportunity to enjoy the excellent benefit package offered.
Qualifications include the following:
- RN License in WI
- Minimum 3 years management experience and a clinical background in acute care nursing required
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to relate and work effectively with others
- BSN required
- Awareness of professional standards and regulations including CMS Conditions of Participation and Swing Bed requirements
- Ability to perform the essential job functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations in accordance with the ADA
Job Summary:
The Inpatient Nursing Manager is responsible for the leadership, management and execution of the daily operation of Inpatient nursing services including Social Services and CRN group. Under the direction of the COO, shall construct and implement all policies and procedures and operational issues pertaining to Inpatient nursing. The Manager holds administrative responsibilities for management, budget, staffing and scheduling, development of nursing care policies, procedures and standards and monitoring the provision of quality nursing services.
The Inpatient Nurse Manager will ensure that the department complies with the requirements of any governmental or regulatory body having jurisdiction on the premises or use of the department services, to meet such quality standards as set forth by the selected accrediting agency and implemented by the governing body of the hospital.
The Inpatient Nurse Manager will establish staffing plan for their department in coordination with other nurse leaders. They will create and implement a staff development plan to include orientation, competencies, and continuing education. Collaborates with Medical staff regarding nursing aspects of patient care and building positive team relationships. Maintains quality metrics and reporting to ensure patient and staff safety and efficiency.
This is a working manager position with an expectation for a 1 in 6 weekend rotation.
