Cumberland Healthcare is currently searching for a dynamic Oncology Department Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The position will have primary responsibilities in the Oncology Department, but may have opportunities to grow in other specialized departments, such as cardiac stress testing, etc. This is an exciting opportunity for the candidate that wants some variety in their practice, while primarily focusing on oncology.
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program; Current, unrestricted APRN or PA license in the State of WI, or ability to obtain; Oncology experience required; Internal Medicine and Chronic Disease management background helpful; Willing to work collaboratively with Oncologist; Willing to provide Emergency Department and Inpatient consults for Oncology patients; Willing to assist Infusion center nursing staff with evaluation of patients prior to treatment; Ability to work up all oncology referrals; Ability to assist Oncologist on clinic days to ensure all patient records are complete; Ability to collaborate with outside providers referring patients to the Infusion Center; Possess the knowledge needed to guide Infusion center staff with Chemo protocols; and Ability to intervene with patient medication reactions.
