Have you ever wanted to thank a nurse or show gratitude but weren’t quite sure how to do it? The DAISY Award is given annually to a deserving nurse of your choice based on criteria that meet Cumberland Healthcare’s mission, vision, and values. The award was established to celebrate the extraordinary compassion nurses provide their patients and families every day.

Patients, family members, visitors, fellow nurses, and colleagues may nominate a deserving nurse, nurse leader, or nursing team by completing a nomination form for the selection committee to review.

The DAISY Award, created in honor of Patrick Barnes, allows colleagues, patients and patients’ families to recognize extraordinary nurses and the contributions you make every day. DAISY stands for Diseases Attacking the Immune System.
