Cumberland Healthcare Extended Care Unit Addition Requires Alternate Entrance

May 19, 2016   |  Written By Admin in Uncategorized

CUMBERLAND, WI – The Cumberland Healthcare Extended Care Unit has been providing quality nursing home services to the Cumberland community since 1960. In order to continue this, Cumberland Healthcare is expanding its nursing home facility by building an addition that will include 16 private rooms, a dining area and a rehabilitation treatment space.

Construction for the project will begin the week of May 23, 2016. During this time, the main south entrance of the Extended Care Unit will be closed. Extended Care Unit visitors and families are asked to park in the main hospital parking lot and enter through the temporary Extended Care Unit entrance, located south of the emergency room entrance. There will be signage indicating the new entrance.

The project is anticipated to continue through November 2016. While we are very excited about this project, we apologize for any inconvenience. Tim Gagner, Cumberland Healthcare Director of Facilities and Environmental Services, will be leading the building addition.

“We are looking forward to working with as many local contractors as possible for the completion of this project,” says Gagner. “This addition will be a great asset to Cumberland Healthcare and will allow us to continue to offer excellent long term care in the Cumberland area.”

Cumberland Healthcare is an independent, community-based healthcare facility providing a full-spectrum of services to all ages, every step of the way.
